A Little About Me...
Denise Griffiths is an internationally recognised and awarded quilter who resides in a coastal village on the Eastern coast of Australia.
She has been sewing since her feet could reach the pedal on her mothers' old Singer but finds that the freedom and creativity of making art quilts is what she really lives for.
Denise is inspired by the natural environment particularly Australian flora which she interprets with strong , graphic prints and colour to create her recognisable style. She also tries to use as many varying techniques in each quilt as she thinks the quilt will carry.
As the creator of the 3D Baglique technique (her own take on appliqué ) Denise is now taking the next step to teach these creative techniques to students in limited classes.
Her art quilts draw admiration from all around the world, having won many prizes and having been exhibited in Japan, America, France, New Zealand as well as in Australia.
Denise is driven by her desire to try new things and to keep the creative juices flowing in every work she creates.
Denise can be contacted via email... firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in having her teach a group in your area.
